Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup elderberry syrup
1/4 cup melted butter
1 egg
1 cup fresh or frozen berries (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, elderberry syrup, melted butter, and egg.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the berries if using.
Spoon the batter into a lined muffin tin.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
